RECENT EVENTS

Community Comes Together for a Beautiful Build-a-Bouquet Evening

On Thursday, June 26, the Pittston City Community Garden was filled with color, creativity, and community spirit during our Build-a-Bouquet Workshop, hosted by the City of Pittston Office of Community Development in partnership with Bear Run Garden.

Guests gathered at the Community Garden to create their own custom bouquets using a beautiful selection of locally grown flowers. With fresh blooms, ribbons, and all the necessary tools provided by Bear Run Garden, participants had the opportunity to handpick each stem and design arrangements that reflected their own unique style. It was a relaxing evening that encouraged creativity while celebrating the beauty of locally grown flowers.

The event also gave residents the chance to enjoy one of Pittston's hidden gems—the Community Garden—while connecting with neighbors and spending time outdoors in a welcoming space.

The Build-a-Bouquet Workshop was made possible through funding provided by the ChangeX Grant, which supports projects that strengthen communities and create meaningful opportunities for residents to connect.

A special thank you to Bear Run Garden for sharing their beautiful flowers and expertise, and to everyone who joined us for an evening of creativity and community. We look forward to bringing more engaging events like this to the Community Garden in the future.
